The journey began with a simple but unsettling question:Why is a country like India, with such deep scientific roots and intellectual strength, still dependent on global technologies when it comes to specialty chemicals?​

As a founder deeply involved in formulation science and product development, I witnessed this gap closely. Time and again, we relied on imported technologies — not because India lacked capability, but because we hadn’t yet chosen to build at that level.

​That realization stayed.

It sparked a vision — to create something that could stand at par with global innovation, yet be proudly built in India.​

In March 2024, Equilion was born. Not as another manufacturing company, but as a commitment — to move beyond commodity ingredients and focus on high-performance, research-driven specialty actives.

The path was not easy. Building something new always comes with uncertainty, challenges, and the constant need to prove yourself.

But belief is powerful.​ With a team of passionate scientists who shared the same conviction, we began developing technologies that solve real problems — from advanced sunscreen encapsulation systems like SolarDefense to next-generation hydration actives like HydraBoost. Each innovation became a statement: that Indian science is capable, competitive, and ready for the world stage.​ Equilion stands today as a reflection of that belief — that we don’t have to follow global standards, we can create them.​

This journey is deeply personal. It is about challenging the status quo, building with purpose, and contributing to a larger vision of Globalizing Indian Excellence.
